XPENG L03: range-extender or full electric

The L03 is a five-seat fastback sedan, 4,650 mm long, with a 539-litre boot that grows to 1,640 litres with the rear seats folded. Both versions drive the rear wheels with 180 kW and 264 Nm, and both have a 15.6-inch centre screen, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, surround-view cameras and seven airbags.
The two differ in how they are powered:
L03 REEV (B$45,000): a range-extended electric car. The wheels are always driven by the electric motor, and a petrol engine with a 42-litre tank works as a generator to recharge the 37.25 kWh battery. It covers 215 km on electricity alone and 1,017 km in total on the WLTP test, reaches 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and charges at up to 123 kW DC.
L03 EV (B$47,500): fully electric, with a 58.3 kWh battery for 445 km of WLTP range. It reaches 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, charges at up to 193 kW DC and adds an 89-litre front boot.
Both charge from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes on a fast charger, per XPENG's Brunei brochure, and both can tow up to 1,500 kg braked.

XPENG G6

The G6 is a five-seat electric coupé-SUV, 4,758 mm long, with a 571-litre boot. The Brunei version is the RWD Standard Range: 185 kW and 440 Nm through the rear wheels, 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, and a 68.5 kWh battery for 480 km of WLTP range. It is built on an 800V platform and charges at up to 382 kW DC, for 10% to 80% in 12 minutes.
Inside it has a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch driver display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 18-speaker XOPERA sound system, a fixed panoramic glass roof, 10-way power front seats and seven airbags. Driver assistance includes adaptive cruise control with lane centring, autonomous emergency braking and blind-spot detection. Massage and ventilated front seats are not offered on the Brunei version.

XPENG X9

The X9 is a seven-seat electric MPV, 5,316 mm long on a 3,160 mm wheelbase, with a 721-litre boot. A single front motor produces 235 kW and 450 Nm, for 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, and its 94.8 kWh battery gives 535 km of WLTP range. It charges at up to 537 kW DC, for 10% to 80% in 12 minutes.
It rides on dual-chamber air springs and has active rear-wheel steering, which helps a car this long turn in tight spaces. Driver assistance includes adaptive cruise control with lane centring, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection, a 360-degree camera and remote parking assist.

The catch: the L03 EV price covers two cars

The B$47,500 listed for the L03 EV applies to the first two units only. No price has been announced for the L03 EV once those two cars are sold, so the B$2,500 gap between the EV and the REEV may not last beyond them. Anyone set on the full-electric L03 at that price should ask the dealer early, and anyone buying later should get a fresh quote before comparing it with the REEV.

Battery and warranty

All four XPENG models use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, and all charge at up to 11 kW on AC. The DC figures above are each car's peak; actual charging speed depends on the charger, the battery's temperature and its state of charge. The 5-year or 120,000 km vehicle warranty and the 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty apply to every XPENG, with terms and conditions confirmed at the point of sale.

PMV Brunei 2026: the official dealer price list

The latest edition is the "PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLES (PMV) PRICES ISSUED BY CAR DEALERS AS OF 20TH AUGUST 2026", a list issued every quarter. Each figure is a ceiling, not the price you will pay: it is set high enough to cover that model and trim with nearly every available option, and banks use it as the upper limit for car loans, so showroom prices usually sit below it. The list can also lag the showroom as new models arrive and others are discontinued. Our full guide to reading the PMV Brunei 2026 list explains what to check before relying on any figure in it.
