Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV in Brunei: Price, Warranty and Delivery

Toyota's first fully electric car in Brunei launched in September 2026: the Urban Cruiser BEV, sold by NBT in a single variant at a promotional price of B$65,200 on-the-road (OTR) against a standard OTR of B$70,577, dealer-confirmed in September 2026. It is open for booking now, but the cars touring the showrooms are display units; delivery takes a minimum of about 3 months from booking. A home wall charger comes with the car, with free installation subject to conditions.

The promotional price reflects a B$5,377 discount and is all-inclusive OTR, including insurance, per the dealer. No end date has been given for the promotion. One variant is offered, the 2026 model year, in standard factory trim; the dealer confirms no higher or lower specification is coming.

The Urban Cruiser BEV is a compact electric SUV with a 61 kWh lithium-ion battery, front-wheel drive, 128 kW of maximum power and 193 Nm of torque, with a brochure-stated driving range of 426 km. Equipment on the single variant includes a 10.1-inch audio display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.27-inch TFT combination meter, a JBL premium audio system, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, 7 airbags, a 360-degree panoramic view monitor and Toyota Safety Sense. The dealer confirms the customer cars will match the brochure specification exactly.

A home wall charger is included with the car, and installation is free when the wiring run from the home's DB board to the charger position is no more than 10 metres. An NBT-assigned vendor checks DB board compatibility before installation and carries out the work; per the dealer, it is the same vendor NBT uses for the Lexus charger. On AC, the car uses a Type 2 connector with a charging time of roughly 3 to 8 hours depending on the charger, per the dealer. On DC fast charging, the dealer states a charge can take under 30 minutes, giving Shell Lambak as a local example.

The vehicle warranty is 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first, and the high-voltage battery carries 10 years or 300,000 km. No warranty extension is available at the moment, and NBT's workshop does not currently offer a prepaid maintenance package.

The Urban Cruiser BEV makes Inchcape's Brunei operation a two-EV group: NBT already sells the Lexus RZ 350e at B$118,000, and the Toyota now offers a battery-electric car at a little over half that price, using the same charger installation vendor. The showroom cars touring Gadong, Beribi and Kuala Belait in September are mainly display units. The car is genuinely open for booking and sale, but a booking today means a minimum wait of about 3 months before delivery. The other timing question is the price: B$65,200 is promotional, and the dealer has given no end date for the promotion, so the figure to confirm at booking is whether the discount still applies.
