Lexus Electric Vehicles in Brunei: What NBT Sells and What Plugs In

Lexus sells one battery-electric car in Brunei: the RZ 350e at BND 118,000. The other nine electrified trims, the LBX, both IS 300h variants, ES 300h, NX 350h, RX 350h, LS 500h, and both LM 350h layouts, are self-charging hybrids that never plug in. Prices confirmed with NBT Brunei in August 2026.

The RZ 350e is the only Lexus in Brunei that charges from a socket. BND 118,000 buys a 76.96 kWh (72 kWh usable) battery-electric SUV with no petrol engine and no fuel bill, which matters in a market where home charging on a landed property is straightforward. NBT includes a complimentary home AC wallbox with installation, which needs a 3-phase supply. The limitation is the one every electric car faces in Brunei: public DC charging is thin, so home charging carries the car.

The LBX Elegant is the cheapest electrified Lexus in Brunei at BND 61,231, a compact full-hybrid SUV with a 136 PS system. It is the entry point to the badge, and it shows: no head-up display, no sunroof, no ventilated seats. Buyers stepping down from the NX should check the equipment list before the price wins the argument.

The IS is hybrid-only in Brunei: IS 300h Luxury at BND 71,845 and F SPORT at BND 83,410. Both carry Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, e-Latch doors, and the Forged Bamboo trim rivals at this price skip; the F SPORT step-up buys the Mark Levinson audio, 19-inch wheels, and sharper drive modes. The limitation is transparency: Lexus publishes engine torque (221 Nm) but not combined system torque, so drivetrain comparisons against rivals run on incomplete numbers.

The ES 300h at BND 79,747 is the larger hybrid sedan, with a 218 PS system, a power rear sunshade, and paddle shifters. It is also hybrid-only here. One caveat for practical buyers: the Brunei brochure states a 420L boot while regional sources cite 454L, so treat the smaller figure as the planning number.

At BND 83,604 the NX 350h is the cheapest electrified Lexus SUV above the LBX, and its hybrid system cuts fuel use hardest in Bandar traffic, where the engine shuts off constantly. It never plugs in and never drives on battery alone for more than short, low-speed stretches, so buyers expecting an electric car are buying the wrong badge here.

The RX 350h at BND 101,000 gives the larger RX body with the hybrid drivetrain, BND 14,000 under the petrol RX 350 F Sport. It is front-wheel drive in Brunei, unlike the all-wheel-drive F Sport petrol, so buyers who want the hybrid and all-wheel drive together cannot have both in this lineup.

The LM 350h is the hybrid luxury MPV, BND 186,500 for the 7-seater. A 4-seat Ottoman version exists at BND 218,500 for buyers who want the two-row executive layout. Boot capacity is not reliably published for either configuration, so cargo planning needs a showroom visit rather than a spec sheet.

The LS 500h at BND 214,877 is the flagship hybrid saloon and the only LS sold in Brunei; the petrol LS 500 and LS 500 F Sport do not appear on NBT's price list. The hybrid system produces 359 PS, but this is a comfort car, not a plug-in: it self-charges only.

Of the ten electrified Lexus trims sold in Brunei, nine cannot be charged. The LBX, both IS 300h variants, ES 300h, NX 350h, RX 350h, LS 500h, and both LM 350h layouts are full hybrids: the petrol engine charges a small battery, and there is no charging port anywhere on the car. Only the RZ 350e has a plug. Brunei search results and dealer social posts use "EV" loosely across both types, so buyers walk into NBT expecting an electric NX or RX that does not exist.
