The Mitsubishi XForce HEV, Mitsubishi's first hybrid in Brunei, is coming soon through GHK Motors, and pre-bookings now come with a choice of a B$2,000 cash voucher or a servicing package covering up to 75,000 km. The pre-booking offer
Customers who pre-book the XForce HEV choose one of two rewards: a B$2,000 cash voucher, or a servicing package covering up to 75,000 km. The offer runs from October 2026 until the car's official launch date, and terms and conditions apply. Bookings are taken at GHK Motors' Mitsubishi showrooms or through Mitsubishi Motors Brunei's social media pages.
The car
The XForce HEV is a five-seat compact SUV, 4,390 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall on a 2,650 mm wheelbase, driving the front wheels on 18-inch alloys. Its hybrid system combines a 1.6 litre MIVEC petrol engine with an electric motor. It is a self-charging hybrid: the system recharges its own battery as you drive, so no charging point or cable is needed, and Mitsubishi Brunei rates its fuel economy at up to 24.4 km/L (about 4.1 L/100 km).
It has seven drive modes (Normal, Wet, Gravel, Mud, Tarmac, EV Priority and Charge) and Active Yaw Control, which Mitsubishi says gives more control across different road conditions. The HEV comes with a Yamaha Premium Dynamic Sound system, and the XForce carries a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating, tested in June 2024.
HEV or petrol
The petrol XForce uses a 1.5 litre engine with a CVT gearbox. The HEV swaps it for a 1.6 litre engine working with an electric motor, aimed at lower fuel use, in the same body. How much the HEV costs over the B$30,500 Premium will decide whether the fuel savings add up.
The catch: the safety suite is listed for the Premium variant
Mitsubishi Brunei's XForce safety material lists adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, blind spot warning with lane change alert, rear cross-traffic alert and leading car departure notification, with a note that these features are only available in the Premium variant. GHK Motors has not yet said which variant or variants the XForce HEV will come in. Anyone pre-booking for the driver assistance features should ask for the HEV's equipment list in writing, and confirm the price and whether the booking is refundable, before committing.
Warranty
The XForce HEV is covered by Mitsubishi's Diamond Warranty of 5 years or 100,000 km, with a 10-year warranty on the hybrid battery.

PMV Brunei 2026: the official dealer price list
The latest edition is the "PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLES (PMV) PRICES ISSUED BY CAR DEALERS AS OF 20TH AUGUST 2026", a list issued every quarter. Each figure is a ceiling, not the price you will pay: it is set high enough to cover that model and trim with nearly every available option, and banks use it as the upper limit for car loans, so showroom prices usually sit below it. The list can also lag the showroom as new models arrive and others are discontinued. Our full guide to reading the PMV Brunei 2026 list explains what to check before relying on any figure in it.
