GWM Haval H7 in Brunei: Price, Versions and Warranty

The new GWM Haval H7 SUV in matte grey driving on an open road
The GWM Haval H7 comes to Brunei as an all-wheel-drive SUV in two versions: the H7 Ultra with a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine at B$39,900, and the H7 Hi4 Ultra hybrid at B$42,900, sold through GWM Brunei (Berjaya Sdn Bhd). Both carry a 7-year or 200,000 km vehicle warranty plus a 10-year or 1,000,000 km warranty on the engine and transmission, whichever comes first in each case. The H7 is announced but not yet launched here, and no launch date or booking process has been stated.

Haval H7 Ultra (petrol)

The petrol H7 Ultra opens the range at B$39,900 with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine producing 176 kW and 385 Nm, driving all four wheels through a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is 4,800 mm long on a 2,738 mm wheelbase, on 19-inch wheels, with the off-road hardware the hybrid partly does without: a rear-axle limited-slip differential, an Off-Road Expert Mode and off-road cruise control.

Haval H7 Hi4 Ultra (hybrid)

The H7 Hi4 Ultra is the hybrid, at B$42,900. GWM's Hi4 system pairs a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors and a dedicated hybrid transmission for a combined 340 kW and 760 Nm, with all-wheel drive. It is a self-charging hybrid with a 1.53 kWh battery, so nothing needs a plug.

Petrol or hybrid: what B$3,000 buys

The hybrid costs B$3,000 more and is the far more powerful car: 340 kW against the petrol's 176 kW, and 760 Nm against 385 Nm, per GWM Brunei's flyers. It also upgrades the driver's seat from 6-way to 8-way power adjustment with memory, and the passenger seat from manual to power. Both versions share the same body, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch driver display, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 50W wireless charging, ventilated front seats, a 540-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and 6+2 airbags. The petrol keeps two off-road features the hybrid's flyer does not list, Off-Road Expert Mode and off-road cruise control, and uses a rear-axle limited-slip differential where the hybrid lists a multi-in-one unit.

The warranty is the headline number

Both H7 versions carry a 7-year or 200,000 km vehicle warranty and a 10-year or 1,000,000 km warranty on the engine and transmission, whichever comes first, dealer-stated. That is the same package GWM Brunei attaches across its range, and it is the H7's main proof point in a price band full of long-established nameplates.

The catch: the price arrived before the car

GWM Brunei has published prices, specifications and warranty terms for both H7 versions before announcing a launch date or opening bookings, so buyers currently know what they would pay before knowing when they could order one. The brand itself is established in Brunei, with five GWM marques sold through one distributor, but the H7 nameplate is new here, with no local service history behind it yet.

GWM in Brunei

The H7 Hi4 Ultra will join GWM's existing hybrid line-up in Brunei: the Ora 05 HEV, the Haval H6 FL HEV and the Tank 500 HEV. The smallest of those, the Ora 05, is sold in petrol and hybrid forms from B$25,900, and GWM's five marques are among the nineteen covered in our guide to Chinese car brands in Brunei.

PMV Brunei 2026: the official dealer price list

The latest edition is the "PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLES (PMV) PRICES ISSUED BY CAR DEALERS AS OF 20TH AUGUST 2026", a list issued every quarter. Treat it as a reference point, not the price you will pay: dealers almost always have promotions running, so actual selling prices differ from the printed figures, and the models on the list can lag the showroom as new models arrive and others are discontinued.
