Which MG Cars Are Not Available in Brunei

Four MG models lined up, representing the MG range sold through Premier Motor Co in Brunei
The MG5 EV is not offered in Brunei, and the distributor confirmed in August 2026 that no pure MG EV is planned. The MG3 Hybrid+ is temporarily unavailable after its first allocation sold out, with the next expected in November 2026. Six petrol trims are available, and an MG HS PHEV has arrived and is open for booking.

Premier Motor Co publishes on-the-road (OTR) and promotional prices only; no separate recommended retail price is issued for MG models in Brunei. Prices and stock can change after verification.
All MG sales in Brunei run through Premier Motor Co Sdn Bhd, Beribi (Lot 34-36), the sole authorised MG distributor since February 2026.

MG5 EV: not offered in Brunei

The MG5 EV has a live page on the Premier MG website, and search results still show it as available. It is not. A single MG5 EV wagon was brought into Brunei in 2022, under the previous distributor, and sold in 2026. No further units were offered, and Premier Motor Co confirmed in August 2026 that it is not planning to bring any pure MG EV to Brunei. As of August 2026, MG does not sell a fully electric car in Brunei, and none is planned. Read the full MG5 EV story.

MG3 Hybrid+: temporarily unavailable

The Hybrid+ reached Brunei with an initial allocation of three units, and all three sold. The next allocation is expected in November 2026, confirmed by the distributor in August. AutoPasar does not publish a price for a car that cannot be ordered; the restock price will be confirmed with Premier Motor Co when units land. Buyers who want the Hybrid+ can register interest with the showroom at Beribi to be contacted when the next allocation arrives.

MG HS PHEV: arrived and open for booking

MG's first plug-in hybrid for Brunei has arrived at Muara port and is open for booking, confirmed by the distributor in August 2026. The expected price is BND 37,800, quoted on the same discounted basis as the rest of the range, with the first shipment limited to 20 units on a first come, first served basis. This makes the HS PHEV the closest MG offers to an electric car in Brunei, and the most expensive model in the current lineup. See the full HS PHEV arrival details.

Which MG cars are currently available

MG3 Standard: on run-out with its final unit remaining, in black, at BND 20,800 OTR. When it sells, the lowest-priced MG becomes the ZS Com at BND 21,800, and the MG3 range starts at the High Spec.
MG3 High Spec: available at BND 22,800 OTR with limited stock. It adds a sunroof over the Standard and carries no bodykit. Like every MG sold by Premier Motor Co, it carries a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty. With the Standard down to its final unit, most MG3 buyers will start here, though the ZS Com undercuts it by BND 1,000.
MG ZS Com and Lux: both in stock at BND 21,800 and BND 24,800 OTR. A dealer-fitted bodykit is available on both trims for BND 1,000. The ZS Com is BND 1,000 less than the MG3 High Spec at the prices verified in August 2026. Warranty is the same 5-year or 150,000 km term.
MG HS Com and Lux: the petrol HS range sits at BND 29,800 and BND 32,800 OTR, the Com in good supply and the Lux in limited stock. The Brunei brochure does not state boot capacity, and AutoPasar does not publish a boot-capacity figure without confirmation of the Brunei specification.

The distributor changed hands and the internet has not caught up

Premier Motor Co Sdn Bhd has been MG's sole authorised distributor in Brunei since February 2026, taking over from GHK Motors, as verified with the distributor in July 2026. The web has not fully registered the handover. The GHK-era site still ranks beside the new one, an older Instagram account still credits GHK, and the surviving MG5 EV page may contribute to search results that incorrectly show the model as available, when only a single unit ever reached Brunei and it has been sold. When online sources conflict, AutoPasar uses the latest dated confirmation from Brunei's authorised distributor, Premier Motor Co at Beribi, tel 2421740.

Frequently asked questions

Is the MG5 EV being discontinued?
In Brunei it is already gone. A single unit imported in 2022 sold in 2026, and the distributor confirmed in August 2026 that no pure MG EV is planned. See the full MG5 EV story.
Is MG as reliable as Toyota?
Independent long-term reliability data on MG in Brunei is limited, and comparisons with Toyota vary by market and model rather than pointing one way. Every MG sold by Premier Motor Co carries a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty.
Why are MG cars cheaper than rivals?
MG prices reflect SAIC Motor's large-scale Chinese production and a value-led market position rather than reduced warranty cover, which in Brunei is 5 years or 150,000 km.
